Tracking Local Mail (Registered Mail / Recorded Delivery Mail / Parcels), or Outward International Mail (Registered Mail / Insured Mail / Parcels) 

Senders must, within 5 months from the date of mailing, raise a request to check the delivery status of the mail item. Senders can track an item in the following way:

1. Track With Item Number

Format of item number* for registered / recorded delivery mail: RR XXXXXXXXX HK / RA XXXXXXXXX HK

Format of item number* for parcels:CP XXXXXXXXX HK

(*Note: XXXXXXXXX = 9 digits)

Mail Tracking Procedures

1. Internet

Enter the item number on Mail Tracking page of Hongkong Post

2. Hotline 2921 2560

Call the 24-hour Enquiry Hotline 2921 2560 and input the item number

3. Enquiry Form Pos28B (PDF)

Fill in the form and submit with supporting documents:

  1. By mail to Mail Tracing Office, Hongkong Post, 1/F, 38 Pier Road, Central, HK
  2. In person to any post office
  3. Fax to 2543 0469 or 2868 4723

 

2. Track Without Item Number (e.g. loss of item number)

Please visit the post office at which the item was posted and provide details such as the date of mailing, the name of addressee and the address to the counter staff for mail tracking.
