When cycling, to ensure you can be seen by other road users, you should wear bright or light-coloured clothing during the day, and reflective and fluorescent clothing at night or in poor visibility conditions.  In order to minimize injuries, you should wear clothing that will protect you in an accident or if you fall from your cycle.  Wearing safety helmets and protective pads significantly enhance safety.  In addition, you should be beware of or avoid wearing anything that may affect your proper control of your cycle or easily get caught in the wheels or chain, e.g. legs of baggy trousers, long or loosened shoelaces, etc.
