What are the requirements on the identity proof for the application of International Driving Permit?

You can use the following identity documents to apply for the International Driving Permit (IDP):

• Permanent HKID card; or
• Identity documents issued by the Hong Kong Immigration Department to temporary Hong Kong Resident for employment or other purpose; or
• Temporary HKID card.

Points to note: You may use the original or the copy of the identity document to apply for the IDP.
