Can I drive in other countries or places with my electronic driving licence (eDL)?

International recognition of Hong Kong’s electronic driving licence (eDL) depends on the policies or conditions of the countries or places concerned.  Therefore, the Transport Department suggest that you should first gain a clear understanding of the local driving requirements before driving abroad, and bring your physical driving licence and International Driving Permit with you as appropriate.
