Overview
The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) manages a total of 46 public swimming pool complexes in Hong Kong, of which 9 are on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and 24 in the New Territories.
The LCSD website lists the opening schedule of swimming pools in different districts, and information of temporary closure notice for today and the next 29 days. Facilities may be closed due to –
- Weekly Cleansing Operation (Note);
- Maintenance;
- Bookings by organizations; or
- Insufficient Lifeguard, etc.
Note: The weekly cleansing operation is carried out from 10:00 a.m. to the end of the second session. The swimming pool will reopen at the third session on the same day. If the weekly cleansing day falls on a public holiday, the swimming pool will open as usual and the weekly cleansing operation will be rescheduled for another weekday of the same week.
