How to get a refund if I have overpaid the rates and Government rent?

The overpaid amount will be used to offset the next and/or future quarter's rates and Government rent. If you want to have a refund rather than an offsetting arrangement, you may submit a written application to Rating and Valuation Department –

The application should include the following information and documentary proof of payment –

• Account no.
• Tenement address
• Payment date
• Amount paid
• Name of applicant
• Day time contact phone no.
• Correspondence address
• Documentary proof of payment (e.g. internet banking records, bank statements, bank book, receipt issued after payment in convenience stores, etc.)
