Office Hours

• Mondays to Fridays: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.(open during lunch hours)
• Offices will be closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.

Points to note:

• If you wish to submit the following applications over the counter in person / by agent over the counter at Licensing Office, you can make an appointment for counter services either online or by calling the 24-hour Interactive Voice Response System of the Appointment Booking Service at 3763 8080:
  • Renewal of Full Driving Licence
  • New Issue or Addition of Full Driving Licence/New Issue, Renewal or Addition of Driving Instructor’s Licence
  • New Issue, Extension or Addition of Probationary Driving Licence
  • Learner’s Driving Licence (Private Car, Light Goods Vehicle, Motor Cycle and Motor Tricycle)
  • Learner’s Driving Licence (Commercial Vehicles)
  • Driving Test (Private Car, Light Goods Vehicle, Motor Cycle and Motor Tricycle)
  • Duplicate of Driving Licence and Driving Instructor’s Licence (if the licence has been lost/destroyed/defaced)
  • International Driving Permit (Counter Service or Self-service Kiosk) (24-hour Interactive Voice Response System is not applicable to booking Self-service Kiosk)
  • Certificate of Driving Licence Particulars
  • Change of Personal Particulars (Only applicable to change of personal particulars for driving licence holders; not applicable to application of change of vehicle particulars and/or change of particulars of registered owners of vehicles registered under company / who are not driving licence holders)

  • Transfer of vehicle ownership
  • Duplicate vehicle registration document / duplicate vehicle licence
     
• Appointment booking for Direct Issue of Hong Kong Full Driving Licence / Temporary Driving Licence Counter Services must be made via the designated online appointment booking system.  The 24-hour Interactive Voice Response System is not applicable to booking Direct Issue of Hong Kong Full Driving Licence / Temporary Driving Licence Counter Services.
• Please note that for submission of applications for direct issue of Hong Kong Full driving licence, applicant must make an advance appointment for counter service before they can visit the appointed licensing offices at appointed date and time to submit direct issue application.  No walk-in or on-site queue ticketing will be arranged.
• The Transport Department has implemented the queue ticketing system for driving licensing related services at four Licensing Offices.  For general driving licensing services (except for submission of application for direct issue of Hong Kong full driving licence), international driving permit and driving test applications processing over the counter, if no prior appointment has been made, applicants are required to obtain a same-day queue ticket on-site before using the counter services.  Same-day queue tickets are distributed at 9am in the morning and 2pm in the afternoon on each working day.  Vehicle licensing related services are not affected.
