What are the application procedures of the Kindergarten & Child Care Centre Fee Remission Scheme (KCFRS) and Grant for School-related Expenses for Kindergarten Students (Grant-KG)?

(1) Applicable to Continuing Applicants

(i.e. applicants who have successfully applied for financial assistance for pre-primary students in the 2024/25 school year on or before 1 May 2025, excluding applicants with children attending Primary 1 in the 2025/26 school year)

The SFO will issue Access Code for E-Form and/ or paper-based pre-filled form to continuing applicants in batches according to their option indicated in the 2024/25 application in May 2025. (Applicants who have successfully applied for financial assistance in the 2024/25 school year on or before 1 March 2025 for students at pre-primary, primary and secondary levels received in mid-March 2025)

Continuing applicants may –

  • Use pre-filled E-Form - Login "eWFSFAA" and open the pre-filled E-Form which has been prefilled with their application details. Continuing applicants may then complete the Pre-filled E-Form, upload relevant supporting documents and submit the application online. Applicants can use “iAM Smart+” to sign the declaration digitally. Applicants without “iAM Smart+” should print, sign and upload the signed declaration as one of the supporting documents; or
  • Use paper-based Pre-filled Form – Submit the completed Paper-based Pre-filled Form issued by the SFO together with copies of relevant supporting documents to SFO by post, using the addressed envelope provided.

 

(2) Applicable to Other Applicants

(i.e. new applicants and applicants who have NOT received financial assistance for pre-primary students in the 2024/25 school year on or before 1 May 2025)

Starting from July 2025, other applicants may –

  • Use E-Form - Access the “E-Form” in the "eWFSFAA" and submit the completed E-Form direct.  Applicants can use “iAM Smart+” to sign the declaration digitally. Applicants without “iAM Smart+” should print, sign and upload the signed declaration as one of the supporting documents; or
  • Use paper-based Form – Submit the completed paper-based Household Applicaiton Form for Student Financial Assistance Schemes, together with copies of relevant supporting documents, to Tsimshatsui PO Box 96824 by post. The related application form and documents will be uploaded to the SFO webpage.
