What is the flat selection period for “EFAS” (2026)-cum-“Resale of GSH Flats and Recovered TPS Flats” ? Will my PRH application being affected if I do not turn up for flat selection?

The application period of Express Flat Allocation Scheme (2026)-cum-Resale of Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme Flats and Recovered Tenants Purchase Scheme Flats was between 3 July to 16 July 2026. The application is free of charge. The HD has issued application form and invitation letter to target applicants.  Applicants who have not been invited for or did not turn up for flat selection, or did not select a flat, will not be accorded with one count of valid offer.  Their original public rental housing applications will continue to be processed. 
 

Flat Selection Period 

• household of two-head or above:
  • commence on 2 September 2026

• one-person applicants: tentatively be commenced in November 2026

Subject to availability of suitable flats for selection, letters of notification for flat selection will be sent to eligible applicants about one week before their flat selection date according to their flat selection priority, choice of districts and type of flats. 

Effect of joining "EFAS" on PRH Application 

• The following circumstances will not be accorded with one count of PRH valid offer of the applicants.  Applicants' original public rental housing applications will continue to be processed in accordance with the prevailing public rental housing application policies and procedures provided that the applications are still valid: 
  • have not been invited for flat selection;
  • did not turn up for flat selection upon invitation;
  • did not select a flat during flat selection
• Under the following circumstances, the allocation will be counted as one PRH valid offer (according to the prevailing policy, eligible applicants are entitled to 3 housing offers) :
  • the Applicant voluntarily withdraws the selected flat 
  • the Applicant and/ or his/her family member(s) reaching the age of 18 (if any) included in the PRH application fail(s) to attend the detailed vetting interview in person as scheduled and/or submit requisite documents within the specified period for verification of his/her eligibility for PRH
  • the Applicant refuses the housing offer of the selected flat after successful verification of his/her eligibility for PRH and receiving the “offer letter”
  • the Applicant fails to turn up for completion of the formalities of the tenancy of the selected flat at the respective estate office, without any “acceptable reason”
