If a recipient of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme / Old Age Living Allowance / Old Age Allowance / Disability Allowance passed away, how should the relatives or friends report the situation or suspend payment of the allowance?

If a single person recipient of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) Scheme or a recipient of Old Age Living Allowance, Old Age Allowance or Disability Allowance passed away:

• His/her guardian, appointee, relatives or friends should report the situation immediately to the concerned Social Security Field Unit for timely follow-up.

If a family member of a family receiving CSSA passed away:

• Other family members should report the situation immediately to the case officer of Social Security Field Unit so that SWD can conduct proper follow-up actions or provide assistance.
